  • Includes high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. Paying supporters also get unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app.

Also included with your download of the album is an exclusive PDF explaining the recording process, with photos, anecdotes, and explanations for every track name and song idea. This is easily my biggest undertaking ever, so please, consider paying around $5 and support the recording of another album in the future. It took me six years due to a lack of time and funds to get this record done, but purchasing this album will absolutely help move that wait from six years to less than one. :)
    Thanks for all your support!

about

"Little Bear" is the first release from myself since the exit from my previous group, Capistrano, in 2007. This record is the culmination of the desire to write more expressive, minimal music and the drive to do it all on my own. Along the way, I've had immense mental and physical help from my friends and family, but in the end, this album is just as much for those people as it is about them.

Track Name: For The One I Speak To Through Photographs
I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it is because in addition to the fact that the sea changes and the light changes, and ships change, it is because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have, in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it we are going back from whence we came.

Track Name: For Dennis A.
your life is your life
don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.
